What is Automation Art Interface?
It's a fluorescent bacteria artwork interface which remotely programs the Reconfigurable Automation Cart (RAC) system at Ginkgo Bioworks.

1. Publish your designed agar plate to the website gallery.

2. Approved designs are queued for automated production.

3. After incubating overnight, the artwork is photographed under UV light.

Agar Plates: OmniTray or Petri Plate with LB Agar (Lennox)


Plasmid Design: Fluorescent protein genes under control of a constitutive promoter (BBa_J23106), using a strong RBS (BBa_B0034), double terminator (BBa_B0015), and 7x His tag.

Sequence Optimization: Codon-optimized for E. coli and S. cerevisiae.
